Districts Night 2: Chaminade Tops CBC, Vashon Destroys Sumner, and Ritter Stuns SLUH

2026-03-05

District semifinals. Win or go home. Thursday night did not disappoint.

Game of the Night: Chaminade 62, CBC 52

The MCC rivalry lived up to the billing. Chaminade controlled this one from start to finish, pulling away in the second half to beat CBC by 10. The Red Devils advance to the district championship and look like a legitimate Final Four threat. CBC's season ends at 16-12.

Vashon 87, Sumner 27

The area's #1 team made their postseason debut and it was over before it started. Vashon won by 60. There's just no one in Class 4 that can match up with this roster. Sumner's season ends at 10-20.

Cardinal Ritter 55, SLUH 48

The upset of the night. Cardinal Ritter knocked off SLUH to advance to the district final. Ritter has been a tough out all year and proved it again Thursday. SLUH's season is done.

De Smet Cruises Again

De Smet Jesuit 65, Pattonville 42

Pattonville came in at 21-5 and had been playing great basketball. Didn't matter. De Smet won by 23 and never looked threatened. The Spartans are rolling into the district championship.

Lindbergh Pulls the Upset

Lindbergh 54, Jackson 52

Jackson came in at 24-3 and was the higher seed. Lindbergh didn't care. A two-point road win to advance. That's a gutsy performance.
